The axe is one of the oldest tools of man and dwarves alike. The double bladed axe also refered to as a hero's axe had it's place in history and is also a favorite weapon in classic fiction. The axe was favoured because it acted as a practical tool of the woods as well as a vicous weapon on the battle field. This ornate axe has an overall length of 21 1/4 " with a solid metal head. The edge of the axe measures 6 3/4 " The handle has intricate detail and would be a worthy decorative piece for any homes decor.
