"First, all the Reliks products are great and high quality. The polypropylene dao sword is a little wobbly on the blade but still a good product."

"Used a pair of them this week, very safe to use if one pulls one's hits even without using protective gear. They have the look of the real thing, somewhat lighter than a real Dao. They are ridgid in edge to edge contact but a bit more flexible on the flats, this gives some feedback if one's edge alignment is good or not which is useful feed back."

"Looks great and I bought two of them to practice with my Longsword HEMA training partner to vary the type of practice weapons we train/play with. The look of the Dao is very attractive, the blade has some flexibility but not too floppy. Safe to use if one uses control, common sense and protective gear proportional to how hard one wants to strike: Like any training sword uncontrolled hitting could cause serious bruising and even break bones if one goes nuts without care for one's training partners."

"Bought this for my son. He loves the Dao sword. This one is a replacement for his first Dao sword that was broken in "battle". The first two inches of the tip was broken off during a LARP with his friend. My son's medieval training sword won that one... :D The first Dao survived numerous encounters before it was damaged so I expect the second will be just as durable. (side note... the medieval training sword, though it's blade shows numerous dings and scratches, continues to thrive and survive after 6 years of countless hard fought battles.)"
