Concealed within a placid blue saya, the hand forged folded steel blade displays a rippling hada and flowing hamon, further lightened by a carved bo-hi groove. A silver habaki and notched seppa frame the blade, while the silver tsuba, kashira, and fuchi feature crashing wave patterns. Silver and gold menuki rest beneath a dark blue tsuka-ito wrap over white same ray skin. The saya is finished with buffalo horn fittings at the kurikata and koiguchi, tied with a deep blue sageo that completes the oceanic theme.
