German Mace

By the 15th Century, armor had become so well developed that it was almost impervious to a sword cut and even a thrust. This heavy mace, which evolved from man's oldest weapon, the club, could make short work of that armor. With a few full sound blows the best of plate would be so damaged that the wearer's movement would be greatly impaired, and that lead quickly to defeat. This mace has 8 flanges and are made from steel that has been blackened to a deep luster. The bottom of the shaft is wrapped in black leather for an improved grip. Made by Windlass Steelcrafts^{^{^{^{^{^{^{^{^{^{^{^{^{^{^{^{^{^{^{^{^{^{^{^{^{^{^{^{^{^{^{^{^{^®}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}. This piece weighs 4 lbs. and is 24" overall.

"Pretty good, swung it a fair bit against a rotting long, it picked up a bit of a rattle inside, and the handle is hollow, though thick. Happy with it overall"

"Product is very sturdy and feels good to swing around. The black is not a paint coating, more like a dark bluing which is nice. Nice leather handle but shaft is hollow, not a big deal however as it really doesn't seem like it is going to bend anytime soon. Just wipe it down and maybe oil after touching the metal as I believe it is high carbon. The urge to smash things is strong while holding this."
