The axe is one of the oldest tools of man. It is also one of his favourite weapons. Axes were made of stone, bronze, iron and steel. The axe was favoured because it acted as a practical tool of the woods as well as a vicious weapon on the battle field. This ornate axe has an overall length of 20" with a solid metal head. The edge of the axe measures 6" The handle has intricate detail and would be a worthy decorative piece for any homes decor.
