Wolf Wakizashi

The Citadel Wolf Wakizashi embodies the same wild elegance and handcrafted perfection as its larger companion, the Wolf Katana. Hand forged and finished by Citadel’s master smiths in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, each piece is created individually from start to finish in the traditional Japanese manner. Limited to only 100 swords worldwide, every wakizashi is signed and numbered on the nakago (tang) and comes with a matching certificate of authenticity. Like the wolf itself, it balances raw strength with precision, grace, and individuality.

A Compact Blade with Fierce Character

The 21-inch DNH7 high carbon steel blade is hand forged and differentially hardened for durability and a razor-sharp edge. A bo-hi (fuller) runs the length of the 5.5 mm-thick blade to lighten and balance the weapon while retaining its cutting power. The wolf-themed tsuba—black-etched and hand-finished—showcases Citadel’s renowned attention to detail, while the fuchi and kashira feature a lightly textured surface that’s elegant and tactile. Completing the theme, the menuki (ornaments) depict a crescent moon on one side and a full moon on the other—symbols of power, mystery, and the spirit of the hunt.

Handcrafted Detail and Natural Beauty

The 9-inch tsuka (handle) is carved precisely to fit its blade, wrapped in suede tsuka-ito over white same-gawa (ray skin) for a secure and comfortable grip. The saya (scabbard) is lacquered in a dark brown finish with a subtle gray mist effect and fitted with buffalo horn kurikata and kojiri. Each saya is hand-carved for its individual sword to ensure a perfect, snug fit.
