The KA-BAR EPT is manufactured in the United States from 425 high carbon stainless steel, with the same material forming both the blade and handle. The 2.5-inch drop point blade has a flat grind, substantial 0.1875-inch thickness, and a specified hardness of 56-58 HRC. Its cutting edge is sharpened to 20 degrees per side, while the 1.7-inch blade width contributes to the EPT's broad, purposeful shape. A built-in pocket clip provides an easy carry option without adding a separate handle or folding mechanism.
