EK Model 4

The KA-BAR Ek Model 4 marks KA-BAR’s first release in the John Ek Commando Knife Company line, reintroducing one of the most anticipated blades in modern military-inspired cutlery. Based on the legendary jungle fighting knife carried by U.S. servicemen, the Model 4 blends historic battlefield design with updated materials for today’s demands.

Modern Steel, Traditional Build

Constructed from 1095 Cro-Van steel, the parkerized blade offers excellent toughness and corrosion resistance in the field. The handle is fitted with textured, glass-filled nylon grips that provide a secure hold in any environment, secured with the iconic Ek “X-head” fasteners. True to its origins, the Model 4 is designed as a dependable, hard-use fighting knife while maintaining the distinctive character of the original Ek jungle blade.

Battle-Ready Sheath

Each knife comes with a U.S.-made Celcon® sheath, featuring a retaining strap, self-locking function, and multiple tie-down points for secure, versatile carry. Combining American craftsmanship with commando heritage, the EK44 is a faithful and functional continuation of John Ek’s legacy.
