"The quality of the spear heads themselves was very good. I had seen the measurements, but they still ended up being larger and heavier than I was expecting. Nobody's fault but mine. :) The description says that the spear could be mounted on a wooden dowel. One spear had had holes properly for this. The other looked like it was meant to have holes, but they weren't all the way open, so I had to finish that part myself. It would help to know what size screw to use, as I had to wander the hardware store trying to find a screw that would work. The listing says that the socket is 1", which is technically accurate, but a 1" dowel does not actually fit. It's 1" on the outside, but I had to get a smaller dowel (7/8"), and even that I had to sand down to get it to fit the cap. " - Patrick (4/5)
