"It's a very nice product. But the tip bent a bit when in use. Not very pleased with that."

Response: Always keep a file handy when using spears, this type of wear is common and a very quick fix.

"Well packaged with tip protection. The blade is completely dull, I plan to sharpen it. I don't know how well it will keep an edge, that will depend on the quality of the tempering. The tip is quite pointy though. Outside diameter of the throat is 1-11/32". It won't be flush with the 1-1/4" pole I plan to mount it on, but only minimally. Not worth shortening it. Length is 17". The blade is 9-1/2" long. Two mounting holes. Very nice finish overall. This thing is huge and will look great on a 6-foot pole with and round end butt cap."
