The grip has a wood core and is wraapped with leather and twisted wire.
The grip meets the inside of the brass guard
The basket on this sword has ornate scroll work with the insignia "CS" and five point star in the center.
This sword has some classic etching work expected to be found on an officers sword of the era
The scabbard or sheath has a nice brass collar with a forward ring for mounting the sword to your belt.
Their is a back mounting ring towards the middle of the sheath to hang the sword from your belt
The tip of the sheath is capped with a brass protector
This is a beautiful recreation of the classic Boyle, Gamble and McFee sword.
