By: Paul Chen - Hanwei
The ever-popular Practical Wakizashi from Paul Chen give the martial artist the opportunity to own and use a Hanwei sword at the cost of an economy sword. The blades are forged and differentially hardened, using the same process as the more expensive blades and producing an HRC60 edge and HRC40 back. The temper line is authentic and prominent. Cost savings are effected by using fittings which, while making no claims to authenticity, are very strongly built by Hanwei to withstand the rigors of cutting exercises in the dojo. Produced by Hanwei under direction of Paul Chen. This sword comes pre-sharpened for the martial artist and tameshigiri cutting.

"Another good investment... This Wakizashi met & exceeded my expectations! The blade was equally as thick at the habaki as it's full sized counter part (Practical Katana) and it was also equally as thick as it's full sized counterpart at the kissaki. The ito (handle wrap) was super tight and even. All the fittings are very tight and secure. Modern steel (65Mn) and a perfect differential heat treat (40hrc spine/60hrc edge) make this this Wak one of the best Japanese styled swords in the production market... bar none. Thank'e again Reliks. You do not disappoint. " - Richard (5/5)
