Orchid Katana Details

The blade is forged from folded K120C steel, revealing a distinct hada and a prominent hamon, finished with a medium-length chu-kissaki. High-quality ray skin (same) is used on the tsuka, wrapped in premium Japanese cotton ito and matched with a woven sageo. The tsuba of blackened iron features Orchid and Butterfly decorations inlaid with silver, brass, and copper. A deep blue lacquered saya with buffalo horn koiguchi and kurikata completes the mounting. The fuchi, kashira, and kojiri are crafted in bronzed iron with fine silver and gold detailing, while the one-piece brass habaki secures the blade with strength and elegance.
