When the world collapses, balance and blade keep you standing

Before the seven seals are torn away, arm yourself with a sword built for collapse and clarity. The A.P.O.C. Katana by Dragon King and master smith Gus Trim pairs an unadorned tactical ethos with a cutting geometry born for hard use. Black oxide 9260 spring steel, full tang construction and removable G10 scales give you a tool that resists corrosion, survives brutal handling, and remains comfortable in long, filthy watches. Whether you face the slow rot of a pandemic or the sudden shock of catastrophe, this katana is engineered to do one thing well: keep you alive.

Rooted in Japanese form, refined for modern survival

The katana’s history is a story of function shaping form. Forged for the hand, its gentle curve and long cutting edge were perfected over centuries to deliver fluid, decisive cuts in close combat. The A.P.O.C. Katana keeps that essential silhouette while translating it into a modern tactical instrument. Gus Trim’s workshop blends traditional profiling with contemporary materials to reduce maintenance and eliminate common field problems. The hooked guard recalls classical finger protection yet is simplified for quick cleaning. The handle design emphasizes uninterrupted contact with the blade’s axis so grips stay secure even when gear, blood, or rain would normally betray a warrior’s hold. In short, this is a katana that remembers its lineage while shedding what would slow it in the wasteland.

Hard specifications and survivor-ready features

The A.P.O.C. Katana arrives as a no-frills, high-performance package. Its 23 1/2" blade edge is ground from 9260 spring steel with a Black Oxide finish for corrosion resistance and low reflectivity. The full-tang construction runs through an 11 3/8" removable G10 handle that sits flush with the blade and rivets to eliminate hot spots and reduce blistering during extended use. A hooked guard prevents finger slippage onto the edge. Overall length is 36 5/8" and weight is roughly 2 lb 6 oz, giving the sword enough mass for powerful cuts while remaining maneuverable. The black textured fiberglass sheath mounts to a MOLLE compatible kydex platform that secures to belts or packs in multiple orientations. The platform includes four slots sized 1 3/8" by 1/8" for versatile strap configurations. A drainage hole in the scabbard removes water and debris. A handle notch and matching platform cut allow for stealthy, reliable unsheathing and secure inverted carry. Built to be wiped clean, carried without fuss, and trusted when it matters most, the A.P.O.C. Katana is the practical edge for the practical survivor.

S Chris S. - Verified Buyer

"Very well balanced and feels rather good in the hand. Not the prettiest but great for the price. Can't wait to sharpen it up and see how it cuts."

J John J. - Verified Buyer

"I really enjoy this blade, it is just as advertised and would consider getting another. I have yet to test it's cutting abilities but it's well balanced and has a comfortable grip and feels great in the hand."

V Barker V. - Verified Buyer

"Great product...sharp...sturdy...only one complaint is that the blade makes lots of noise in sheath due to empty space."

C Shawn C. - Verified Buyer

"It is exactly as described a basic no frills low maintenance blade. My only issue would be the blade has a very rough textured surface that is hidden by the black paint that covers the blade. Otherwise it was well worth the money for what it is."

H John H. - Verified Buyer

"Solidly constructed. Well designed with good balance, as one would expect from a Gus Trim design."
