Just as the German Landsknecht has his Katblagar, so did the Pikeman depend on his short sword. The Swiss Baselard were superb close combat weapons: fast, light, and capable of both good cuts and effective thrusts. This functional short sword soon saw use throughout much of Europe. Complete with a utility knife and skewer for the various needs of any campaign. This piece comes with a scabbard to accommodate both the short sword, utility and skewer. All made by Windlass Steelcrafts from functional high carbon steel.
