St. Olaf's Sword from Stiklestad

The Battle of Stiklestad was the final battle of Saint Olaf. This was traditional warfare, with two hosts meeting face to face. It was a brutal, bloody and deadly fight, and in the end, the mighty Olaf fell. Gaining a lot of fame for his exploits, he was eventually canonized as St. Olaf. This attractive hand forged viking sword is copied from a specimen that was quite involved in that kind of viscious encounter. The Stiklestad Viking is made traditionally from high carbon steel by Windlass Steelcrafts®. This battle ready sword is a beautifully balanced and highly effective viking sword. Capable of both cutting and thrusting, this battle ready sword is also a delight to the eye. The pommel and sword guard are tastefully decorated with copper. The Stiklestad Viking Sword is a great choice for collectors or practitioners of the viking sword.

H - Verified Buyer

"Beautiful sword. my only gripe with it was that the copper was covered with a dark black oil or grease and it took quite a while to clean that off. Beautiful sword though and very sturdy."

Response: The swords metal parts have an oil coating to protect the high carbon steel during storage and transit. A soft cloth will remove it quite easily.
