Model 1860 US Cavalry

The hand forged blade of the M-1860 Light Cavalry Saber is British military spec steel that will flex over 20° and return to true. The leather handle is wire wrapped. The curving blade is superbly designed for penetration (thrust) and as a slashing weapon. Originally copied from an earlier French issue saber and manufactured in the North and in Europe for the lads in blue. Our excellent reproduction is hand-made and ready for use. A stout steel scabbard completes this legendary sword. It evokes the unflinching bravery of Antietam, Manassas, Gettysburg.

"Simply Stunning!!! It was exactly what I was looking for in a sword. A little too heavy for me but that is okay it can help me build up my arms. The only thing is that I forgot to get the blade sharpened. I will be shipping it back soon."

Response: no problem, we can sharpen that for you

"i'm happy with this sword, made with good high carbon steel, tough over all construction, a little rough around the edges but gives the piece a handmade feel, still going to buy the coldsteel version but this sabre is still a great buy in my opinion ."
