Since 1943 these Kukris have been made by one government contractor - Windlass Steelcrafts. The original, official military issue! Hand forged from high carbon steel, each comes with regulation sheath. A must for outdoor activities that require chopping and cutting. This kukri beheads water buffaloes with a single stroke for the traditional Gurkha sacred ceremony. Very scarce! Only one is issued to each Gurkha Regiment in India. Specially carved native hardwood handle. The polished steel blade is a staggering 3/8" thick and more than 2-1/2 feet long. Made by Windlass Steelcrafts and comes factory sharp.

"Now this one I was shocked how big it was you weren't kidding when it said that it can chop a water buffalo head off I believe it I love it"

S - Verified Buyer

"I feel it should come already sharpen and it would be very nice if the sheath was of a better quality. As for the Kukri it's self, it feels very solid and made to last. "

Response: There is an optional sharpening service available for practitioners. Many people don't want them sharp for display.
