Rifle Regiment

This authentic new kukri is made by the official government contractor, Windlass Steelcrafts, for issue to the Gurkha''s Assam Rifles Regiment. Made to current military specifications, it is hand forged from high carbon steel and comes with a regulation sheath. This kukri has a double fullered blade. It also features the traditional religious notch symbolic of the trident (3 pronged spear) of Shiva. The polished, native hardwood handle is reinforced by a brass bolster and a brass pommel with a raised lion's head decoration. This very powerful chopping blade is a must for outdoor activities that require chopping and cutting. Made by Windlass Steelcrafts and comes factory sharp.

"Nice sturdy blade. Good fit, decent finish. The two small utilty knives were absolutely drenched in wet red wood stain. Got it all over my hands. Inconvenient but not the worst thing, would've been good to be warned of this. "

Response: They are packed in a protective grease to protect them from oxidization while in storage. A soft cloth should remove it quite easily.
