Andrew Demko Tri Ad Lock

The original 4 Max knife proved to be all that we hoped for. But it was expensive and difficult to manufacture and deliver in a timely manner to meet customer demand. The 4 Max Scout is easier to produce and is a far more affordable alternative. It features an extra wide, drop point blade and stone wash finish, which is identical to the original 4 Max. It’s crafted from 5mm thick AUS 10A steel, for strength, toughness and edge holding potential. The handle’s silhouette mirrors the original. Instead of a G-10 handle the 4 Max Scout has one made of Griv-Ex™ with stainless steel liners and a Griv-Ex™ back spacer. Equipped with Andrew Demko’s ground breaking Tri-Ad® locking mechanism the 4 Max Scout has passed every one of our grueling shock and impact tests and then gone on to hold 600 lbs. of free hanging weight with no damage!

"A very big folder best used for camping, hiking, fieldcraft and or survival uses. Came near razor sharp out of the box, extremely robust in construction and very good lock up with the Tri-Ad lock. Would certainly be a good back up knife for military/police and good in any survival situation. As good/close as one can get to a fixed blade in a folder and as a backup to a larger fixed blade, a hatchet or a tomahawk. Well, for many this is just for our collection but if any of the above uses became a need the 4-Max would be a good choice, but a bit too big and heavy for EDC. I really like it, and it's also is very comfortable in hand."
