"Although the stand came with several scratches and the wood split as I was securing the base, with a little bit of glue and paint, it was good as new. I would HIGHLY recommend gluing all of the points where the stand screws together for added security, and also adding adhesive felt to all areas where the wood of the stand contacts your sword. If you use red felt, this stand will even look like one made by Hanwei (which does not even make this style, to my knowledge)!"
