Burgundy Samurai Katana

Burgundy Samurai Katana

The Samurai or Bushi were Japanese military warriors. The samurai followed a set of rules that came to be known as Bushido. While these highly skilled warriors were a very small percentage of Japan's population, samurai teachings can still be found today in both everyday life and in modern martial arts. One of the wepaons of these samurai warrios was the katana. This decorative katana depicts the warrior Bushi within it's deeply coloured burgundy saya. The bronze coloured tsuba and fittings also depict the dragon, another symbol of the japanese culture.
