Notice for Our U.S. Customers

Important information about duties, tariffs, and refused shipments.

This information applies to orders shipped to addresses in the United States.

Door-to-Door Pricing Available on U.S. Orders Under $2,500 USD

For orders valued at $2,500 USD or less, our checkout will automatically pre-quote door-to-door shipping charges to the United States.

This means your shipping quote can include the applicable transportation, brokerage, duties, and tariffs up front, helping to eliminate unexpected charges at delivery. If a door-to-door quote is not available for your order, the information below explains how import charges may apply.

We Ship from Canada

Reliks Inc. is based in Canada, and most orders are shipped from our Canadian warehouse unless otherwise stated. Many of the products we sell are manufactured in countries such as Japan, China, India, the United States, and within the European Union.

Import charges are based on the country where the product is manufactured, not where it is shipped from. For example, a Japanese-made sword shipped from Canada is still treated as a Japanese-origin product for U.S. customs and tariff purposes.

What Changed for U.S. Imports

Recent changes to U.S. trade policy have significantly reduced or removed previous low-value exemptions (sometimes known as “de minimis”) for many imported goods.

As a result, most shipments will now be subject to duty, brokerage, and additional tariffs when entering the United States, regardless of order value.

These charges are set by U.S. Customs and applicable trade regulations, and can vary depending on:

  • Product type (e.g., swords, knives, training weapons, armour, collectibles)
  • Country of manufacture (origin)
  • Applicable U.S. tariffs and trade measures at the time of import

Who Collects These Charges?

Reliks does not charge or keep your U.S. import duties, tariffs, or brokerage fees. These amounts are:

  • Calculated by U.S. Customs and/or the courier’s brokerage service, and
  • Collected directly by the courier (UPS, DHL, etc.) before or at delivery.

We strongly recommend confirming potential import charges for your order before purchasing.

Refused Deliveries & Abandoned Parcels (Please Read)

Under current U.S. regulations and carrier practices, once your parcel enters the United States, it is treated as imported — even if you refuse delivery or do not claim it.

If you refuse your parcel or fail to accept delivery:

  • All assessed duties, tariffs, brokerage, and import fees remain due .
  • Carriers may still bill these charges, and additional return/handling fees may apply.
  • Reliks is not responsible for these charges and will not absorb them on your behalf.

Because a refused shipment can still generate non-refundable import and return costs, a refusal is not an acceptable method of canceling an order.

Orders refused at delivery, or abandoned, are not eligible for a refund . If you have concerns about your fees or delivery, please contact us before your order ships so we can help you choose the best option.

U.S. Warehouse & Reduced-Impact Shipping Options

To help reduce costs and delivery times for our U.S. customers, we partner with a U.S.-based distributor that stocks many Hanwei , GDFB , and Dragon King products.

If a product displays "Available - Ships from USA" , it is in stock at our U.S. partner warehouse at the time you place your order. Inventory is verified in real time, allowing qualifying orders to ship directly from within the United States.
  • Ships directly from our U.S. partner warehouse.
  • No additional import duties, tariffs, or brokerage fees are normally charged at delivery.
  • Often results in faster delivery to U.S. addresses.

If a product does not display "Available - Ships from USA" , it will ship from our Canadian warehouse and may be subject to U.S. import duties, tariffs, brokerage, and other applicable fees as outlined above.
