The Sword of Targaryen Kings

Long before the events depicted in House of the Dragon, Blackfyre was carried by Aegon the Conqueror, the first Targaryen king of the Seven Kingdoms. Forged from Valyrian steel, the sword became an important piece of Targaryen royal regalia and passed through generations of the dynasty. Its significance extended far beyond the battlefield. Possession of Blackfyre became closely associated with the authority and legacy of House Targaryen.

That symbolism would eventually take on an even greater meaning when King Aegon IV gave Blackfyre to his legitimized son Daemon Waters, later known as Daemon Blackfyre. Daemon's possession of the ancestral sword became closely tied to his claim to the Iron Throne and the Blackfyre Rebellion that followed. The resulting conflict divided the realm and gave rise to the Blackfyre name, ensuring that the sword would be remembered as a symbol of both Targaryen kingship and disputed succession. Its ultimate fate remains one of the enduring mysteries of Westerosi history.

Officially Licensed House of the Dragon Collectible

This Blackfyre collectible has been painstakingly recreated from the prop used for HBO's House of the Dragon, with particular attention given to the details and appearance of the screen version. Measuring approximately 44 inches overall, the sword features a 32 inch stainless steel blade, a leather wrapped grip and cast metal hilt components that recreate the distinctive appearance of Blackfyre for display.

Created strictly as a decorative collector's display piece, Blackfyre includes a silkscreened wooden wall plaque bearing the Targaryen sigil and a certificate of authenticity. Each sword is individually serialized, adding another level of appeal for serious House of the Dragon collectors. Whether displayed alongside other pieces from the series or made the centrepiece of a Targaryen collection, Blackfyre represents one of the most important swords in the history and mythology of Westeros.
