The tapered hardwood bo staff is solid and durable. It measures a full 1" diameter at center and tapers to 3/4" at the ends, reducing a half a pound off our heaviest beech staff.
While tapering the staff reduces weight it maintains rigidity, strength and this bo staff is still classed as a heavy hitter weighing in at 2 lbs. This is a very solid and durable wooden bo staff which can also be used as a spear stave or polearm shaft for many of the spearheads, and halberd heads that we offer (minor adjustments may be required).
