The 27 ½” folded steel blade blends T10 and 9260 steels, producing a striking hada pattern with both strength and agility.
After overcoming treacherous waters and countless obstacles, legend tells that the koi transforms into a dragon, an embodiment of strength and transcendence.
Kashira details the turbulent sea with the trident image.
The 10 ½” tsuka is wrapped in teal Japanese silk over genuine samegawa, providing a secure and elegant grip.
Samegawa is the Japanese term for shark skin or sting ray, which acts as a binder for the handles of traditional Japanese swords.
Completing the design, every piece of furniture from kashira to kojiri is adorned with a turbulent wave motif, echoing the koi’s journey against the current.
Few symbols in Japanese culture are as inspiring as the koi fish. Known for its relentless journey upstream, the koi represents endurance, determination, and ultimate transformation.
