The scabbard now has a wooden core underneath the leather exterior.
The grip features cord wrapping underneath the leather for improved texture and grip.
The steel parts are highly decorative and the high carbon steel blade is lightly hollow ground, giving the sword a great feel with one or two hands.
he blade has improved distal taper, making the sword livelier and quicker.
This sword rests in the German Schloss Erbach Armoury and is a fine example of a high medieval/renaissance sword (classified as an Oakeshott type XVIII A).
