23.5" Ko-Katana hand-forged from 1060 spring-steel. Mono-tempered and machine polished. The Mune is hand-burnished to a mirror finish. The blade is fitted in a classic Musashi theme throughout. The 11.25" Tsuka is wrapped in black cotton Ito over genuine rayskin panels. The Saya is finished in a deep black lacquer.These Musha Ko-Katana blades were designed with thick, heavy-duty and durable blades that are 1.5 times thicker than the Musha katana. Ko-Katanas (or Chisa Katanas) are katanas that has been reduced in blade length for the ease of use in tight quarters. These swords still has a katana length handle and can be used as either single or double handed swords. They are faster to draw and lighter to maneuver.
