One of our favourite series of knives that we offer are from the Spyderco value series, but make no mistake “value” doesn't mean cheap. These every day carry (EDC) knives offer some of the best value for the dollar on the market today. I'm talking about Spyderco's Tenacious, Persistence, Resilience and Ambitious.
This series of knives uses 8Cr13MoV steel for its blades giving them the ability to take a very sharp edge with decent retention. The handle scales are made from G-10 backed with steel liners making them very solid. Paired with the composite scales these rigid knives have very little blade play even under considerable force. Spyderco has even cut deep jimping into the shoulder of the blade to prevent thumb slip while cutting. This often overlooked feature is very useful for an EDC that will see some heavy use. Of course each of these knives also has the trademarked Spyderhole. Like it or not, anyone can admit that it is undoubtedly one of the easiest non mechanical or assisted one handed knife opening ideas to date.
Pricing on knives can range from a few dollars to several hundreds for modals using Titanium, Damascus and a variety of other “super steels” or exotic materials. For those of you who are new to the knife scene or are simply looking for a good quality pocket knife, you may be thrown back for a moment by the enormous amount of pieces available or simply be stunned for a moment with sticker shock. Pound for pound or dollar for dollar, this line of Spyderco's value knives are one of the best investments you can make on a quality every day pocket knife.
