Our Scottish Single-hand Sword is patterned after 15th century models originating in the west highlands and the western isles.
The peened wheel pommel, lobed quillons and short langet are typical of surviving pieces. The hilt has a leather wrapped grip with a wood core and matte stainless steel fittings.
Balanced for both cut and thrust, it represents the kind of sword that would have been trusted on the battlefield of 15th century Scotland.
