In ancient myth, before the coming of Man, "Balor of the Evil Eye" ruled as a great wizard-king over a grotesque race known as the Formorians. Balor was the son of Net, a god of death and destruction who granted him the power of a left eye whose baleful stare would sweep away all that it beheld. It is widely believed the curse of the "evil eye" that appears in many cultures around the world sprang from the mostly forgotten legends of Balor. This fully functional sword is wickedly brought to life by Windlass Steelcrafts®. Battle blade is tempered, high carbon steel with full tang. Contoured wood and leather cord grip is covered by the skin of an otherworldly beast (or leather), as is the custom scabbard. Intricate fittings for the hilt and scabbard (not shown) are steel with contrasting metallic accents expertly crafted together. Scabbard includes shoulder baldric, to wear this dramatic piece on your back. Yes, the baleful eye is set staring out of the pommel! "Look upon the eye in the pommel if you dare!"
