It’s tough to argue with the success of the world’s most recognizable, time-tested fixed-blade knife so KA-BAR did what any smart company would do, they didn’t change the original design, they expanded upon it. The high-carbon, non-reflective black blade is epoxy powder-coated and tests prove the finish is more durable than ever. The classic oval shape of the original KA-BAR remains and has been modernized with a material nearly impervious to sweat, chemicals, water and wear, Kraton G. One of the newest additions to this always impressive line is the Mark I Navy Ka-Bar, a remake of the ever-popular and sought after knife issued to the Department of the Navy during WWII. The Mark I comes with a hard shell, reinforced sheath designed to protect the knife from rough treatment and harsh environments. The sheath is versatile and allows for a number of mounting options/positions.
