The Aluminum Chinese broadsword, or Aluminum Dao, is a weapon which historically saw use most often as the hand weapon of military foot soldiers. A single-edged blade with a distinctive curve, it was wielded in an aggressive, energetic fashion and modern broadsword forms reflect this tradition. This piece is made fron die-cast aluminum with a green and red sash attached to a wrapped handle. Overall length is 32 " with a 25 1/2" blade. The blade is unsharpened for training safety while giving the practictioner the authentic feel of a broadsword.
