Cobra De Capello is Portuguese for ‘Hooded Snake’. At an average length of six feet the Cobra is one of the most feared of poisonous snakes, with glaring eyes, darting tongue, hissing breath it rates as one of the most dangerous snakes in the world. In the Egyptian ‘ Book of the Dead’ the snake is referred to as the symbol of the earth. The open hooded cobra was seen as the defender of the king as the Pharaoh would display them on his crown as a symbol of his power and royalty. Egyptian healers were required to have a repertoire of spells for conjuring the poison of the serpent. This Sword tells a story of a Samurai’s respect for the Egyptian culture in this elaborate Katana. This katana has a 29” 440 stainless steel blade and measures 45” overall.
