With its pierced brass basket-hilt and dashing red liner, the Scottish Basket-hilt sword is one of the most heroic swords ever made. Tempered blade is 32 3/4" long, 1 1/4" wide and 1/8" thick. Windlass Steelcrafts, the primary military contractor to the Indian Army, makes it from high carbon steel so it will flex over 5" and still return to true. The full basket, made of solid polished brass, encloses your hand snugly on both sides and has 52 piercings. Overall length 39 1/2". Wt. 4 lbs. 4 oz. Encased in a two-ring steel scabbard.
