In European Daggers by Bashford Dean, there is an illustration of a beautiful dagger that is reported to be a "Landsknecht" dagger. It was probably owned by a captain or commander of Landsknecht, for it is a most lovely and expensive weapon. Our replica is certainly worthy of it. The double-edged blade is richly engraved below the hilt with a floral pattern to match the original. The grip is covered with rayskin (called shagreen in Europe) and the mounts on the dagger and the scabbard are antiqued brass, resulting in a most impressive functional dagger. A worthy weapon for any nobleman to carry. Scabbard included.
