The axe is one of the oldest tools of man. It is also one of his favourite weapons. Axes were made of stone, bronze, iron and steel. The axe was favoured because it acted as a practical tool of the woods as well as a vicous weapon on the battle field. This axe has an overall length of 23" with a solid metal head. The edge of the axe measures 4 1/2". The spike on the other end was used primarily for piercing armour. This axe also has a solid wood handle with spirals for ultimate gripping.
