In the Old West not everyone was carrying bowie knives, but they still liked their knives large. This is a good example of a knife that put more sharp steel into the hand. It is well-known that David Crockett, a few years earlier, carried a dagger as his first choice. Often one edge was used for rough work while the other was kept razor sharp in case it was needed. This big dagger's based on an 1860's era design. The well-tempered high carbon steel blade is 1 1/2" wide and 10" long. The furniture is brass and the grip is real polished bone. The whole dagger weighs less than a pound. Made by Windlass Steelcrafts®. For easy carrying, a leather scabbard with brass throat and tip is included.
