The Regimental Dirk with its integral knife and fork set, was worn from the mid-19th century onwards. Traditionally, officers of Highland line regiments carried the brass-mounted versions while for officers of militia regiments and pipe majors the silver mounted versions were favored, though there were many exceptions to this rule. This decorative model of the regimental dirk measures 20 1/2" overall with a 11 1/2" stainless steel blade.
