The rapier was a sword especially designed for thrusting. The name first appears in England about 1560, but was brought there much earlier by the Spanish. The double-edged blade although designed for thrusting could also be used for cutting. This elegantly designed rapier measures an overall length of 45" with a 38" stainless steel blade. | ||||||||||||||||||
